In memory of Charity Lawrence, relict of the late Josiah Lawrence of Pitt county, N. C. Was born in Edgecomb county, N. C, on the' 23d of April, 1768. Died in Tuscaloosa on the 24th of January, 1849.
J. J. Samuel, Sr., born in Carolina county, Va., January 3, 1800, died June 22, 1859.
Here lies all that was mortal of Thomas D. Clarke, late attorney general of Alabama. He was born in North Carolina, June 27, 1818, and died in Tuscaloosa, Ala., August 25, 1847.
And his wife, Virginia Powell, born in Virginia in 1827, died October 5, 1857.
In memory of Hon. Thomas Crawford, born in North Carolina, April 1785, died in this city (Tuscaloosa) September 4, 1844.
